Developer (Networking, Wi-Fi, Linux, Ubuntu, SDN)
Contractor required for a leading organisation based in Bristol.
This is a Software Developer position related to a wireless & networking project in a Linux (Ubuntu) environment.
OUTSIDE OF IR35.
Attendance required twice per month on site, in Bristol.
General Responsibilities:-
- Design & implement tools for network equipment management including optimisation focusing on low-latency and high bandwidth e.g. low-level near real-time control loops, “OpenRAN-style” xApps development
- Design & implement software agents for communication with network equipment.
- Develop API wrappers for network equipment
- Deploy and fine-tune multi-path protocols such as MultiPath-TCP (MP-TCP v0 and v1).
- Collaboration with teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Integration of edge applications into network and edge infrastructure
- Resolve complex technical issues related to network optimization including wireless technology integration
- Design and implement software agents for communication with network equipment. Ubuntu ( Linux platform ) knowledge and develop MP-TCP or similar multi-access technology protocols
