Senior End-User Computing Engineer (Linux)
Bristol, hybrid
£49,000 – £55,000 + excellent benefits package
The role: a Senior End-User Computing Engineer with a focus on Linux systems.
The successful candidate will lead the technical services supporting Linux end-user devices for all employees, ensuring these systems meet the diverse needs of the Business.
This position requires expertise in Linux and relevant management solutions, high-level technical leadership, and a strong ability to align service delivery with the institution’s broader objectives.
Senior End-User Computing Engineer Technical skills required:
- Demonstrable experience of undertaking projects in a technical environment
- Extensive knowledge of end user computing technologies and device management.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience using technologies such as Puppet or Ansible or Chef
- Knowledge of end user device security and associated technologies such as Antivirus and firewalls.
- Experience of PowerShell.
- ITIL qualified at Practitioner Level
- PRINCE 2 qualified at least to Foundation Level.
- Experience of Agile practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
