Senior Platform Engineer - Mostly Remote

A central government client is looking for a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer and a Lead platform Infrastructure Engineer with extensive AWS and Terraform experience.

You will design and deploy AWS infrastructure, manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and configure commercial-off-the-shelf applications within AWS. Proficiency in Python for writing AWS Lambda functions is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy AWS infrastructure and services.
• Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Configure commercial-off-the-shelf applications in AWS.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for AWS Lambda.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Extensive AWS and Terraform experience.
• Proven AWS infrastructure design and deployment skills.
• Proficiency in Python for AWS Lambda.
• Strong cloud security and networking knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications.
• Experience with other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

This role is fully remote but requires office attendance once every 8 weeks to Leeds.

The rate varies on seniority but will pay circa £450 inside for the Senior and circa £650 inside for the Lead.
